CLAS - The Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society

CLAS is open to anybody and everybody who enjoys calligraphy and lettering. CLAS extends a warm welcome to new members of all races, creeds, ethnic groups, genders and religions, whether old or young, beginner or expert.

CLAS endeavors to encourage members to join its "Ladder of Progress" with the National Diploma in Calligraphy at three levels:

• The Foundation Diploma
• The Intermediate Diploma
• The Advanced Diploma

The aim being to become a CLAS Associate. CLAS also has Fellows those of excellent calligraphic skill or academic knowledge, who are invited to become Fellows of the Society.

Members of CLAS receive "The Edge" - a bi-monthly magazine providing information about courses, exhibitions, books, events of interest, suppliers, technical information and any other articles of interest to calligraphers.

CLAS arranges a "Summer Festival of Calligraphy" and an annual conference in the regions.

CLAS membership is £25.00 per annum
